Wireless Network Watcher

The Wireless Network Watcher application allows you to scan available networks and get information about all connected nodes. Both wired and wireless networks are supported.

Using the program

After installation, no additional settings are required and you can immediately activate a new scan. To do this, press the corresponding button. After the scan is complete, a general report will be displayed. If connected devices are detected, a corresponding entry will be added. The application uses a simple interface, the main control involves only two buttons - start and stop. The second allows you to forcibly interrupt the current scan. Further work is carried out in automatic mode. The program is able to identify devices of different types, recording the necessary information.

Program features

The main purpose of the program is to detect unauthorized connection to the network. This is especially relevant for wireless networks, where it is difficult to visually identify such a situation. At the same time, in apartment buildings any router forms a network, which is visible in many adjacent apartments. If a weak password is used, there is a possibility of unauthorized access. The information is displayed in the form of a convenient table - IP, name and MAC-address. Modern network devices have a function of blocking by MAC-address, which allows you to reliably block the user who decided to connect illegally. Instructions for blocking for a particular network device can be found on the official website.
