Robocopy

Robocopy is a free utility that works on Windows devices. The functionality of the application can be used to quickly copy large amounts of data, move them, and replace identical items. Despite the lack of Russian-language translation, users will be able to quickly get used to the program's capabilities.

Copying data

The user can use the toolkit of the computer utility immediately after downloading, as it does not require installation. In the start window of the program, the user will find several lines and a number of copy settings. The first thing a person should do is to specify the path to the original files, as well as the place of their subsequent saving. The utility is able to work with any type of file, including compressed archives, video clips, text materials, pictures and so on.

Copy options

In the lower half of the window with the program a person can notice various settings. Changing them allows you to adjust the desired copying result. For example, the user is able to move the data to another location, while removing it from the original storage folder. It is also possible to update content located in two different locations. At the bottom right corner of the interface, there is a line for text commands. Here a person can type in additional requirements for the copying process. A complete list of commands can be found on the vastness of the network. For example, if the user enters the command /XC, then the application will not affect the modified data. The user is allowed to copy files from a remote server. In this case, the loss of connection to the Internet will not affect the result, since the program has a reconnect function.
