Hide Folders

Hide Folders is a Windows application for restricting access to certain directories. You can hide or block access to selected folders. You will need to specify the correct password to access them. There are several restriction modes - read, edit and others.

Protection

After opening the application, you will be prompted to specify the folders you want to protect. You can only hide objects or completely encrypt a folder. There is a function to search for data by mask. Next, you need to think up and specify a strong password. It is recommended to use different symbols, which will protect against an attack based on classical brute force. Additionally, you can specify an e-mail address that can be used to recover the key. A separate field is intended for adding a hint. During operation, the program has a minimal load on the operating system. There is no restriction on the maximum amount of encrypted data. The protection scheme used ensures the safety of files even if the PC is booted in safe mode or additional software is used. In the parameters you can activate automatic protection of files in case of prolonged inactivity on the part of the user or switching to sleep mode. This will ensure activation if the user forgets to do it himself. Hotkey control and additional sound alerts are supported. It is possible to change the protection parameters remotely.
