IZArc

IZArc is a Windows application for working with archives. Basic operations are available - creating, unpacking, checking, adding a password. All common archive types are supported.

Viewing

After opening the program, you need to select an archive for work through the file manager. You can view the contents and extract them to a specified directory. Integration with the context menu is supported, which facilitates access to basic operations. Any archive can be pre-checked for data integrity to avoid file loss. To protect against malicious code, you can send a suspicious file to VirusTotal. A detailed report will be sent if a danger is detected. For important files, it is recommended to close access with a strong password. Before creating a new compressed folder, you should activate the necessary option and enter the password in the corresponding field. In this case, when you try to view or extract this file, you will be prompted to enter the password.

Creating archives

The application allows you to create a new compressed directory from a set of prepared files. You can specify them through the explorer or simply transfer them to the main window. At the next step, you can specify the archive type, compression ratio and other parameters. If necessary, the archive can be automatically split into fragments of the required size. This can be used, for example, if you need to transfer a large file via messenger. There is a brief help section describing the main features of the program.
