powerMAX

powerMAX is a utility that allows you to check the functioning of your video adapter and processor under maximum load. The program does not provide reports on the test results. There is no translation into Russian. The utility can be used on Windows devices starting from version 7 and 8.

Requirements

The utility is able to fully function only on laptops and PCs that fit a number of requirements. For example, the user's device must have a video adapter that can work with OpenGL 2.0 or higher. In addition, the user's processor must support instructions called SSE. If these requirements are met, then a person can proceed to check the components. It should be noted that the software checks the components under high load. Therefore, it is recommended to monitor the state of the video card and processor during testing. This can be done through third-party software, for example, Speccy.

Checking components

The user is allowed to choose which components will be tested by the program. The user is able to test the CPU and video adapter separately or together. When the required hardware is selected, the person will have to click on the menu item called "Start". This will start the test, which will put the device under a significant load. During the test, the person must use third-party software to monitor the condition of the components. The computer program itself does not inform the user about the results of the test.
