SecureIT

SecureIT is a Windows application that allows you to securely encrypt your data to protect it from unauthorized access. You can work with folders on local disks and external drives. Blowfish and AES algorithms are used to provide a high level of resistance to hacking.

Encryption

After launching the program, a standard file manager is displayed. Using it, you need to select a set of files or specify a directory. After clicking the Encrypt button, the application will ask for a password to restrict access. During the entry process, the current complexity is displayed - it is recommended to use letters in different case, special characters and numbers. Additionally, you can activate compression and specify its level. On the next step, you need to select the encryption algorithm. A separate option allows you to automatically delete the original files. After specifying all the settings, you need to start creating a secure container. The generation time depends on the PC performance and the number of files. To extract the protected data, you need to re-launch the application and select Decrypt. A password entry form will be displayed, you also need to specify a folder to save the extracted data. After decompressing the content, you can work in the normal mode.

Deletion

The function of securely deleting files from the disk is provided. Overwrite mode is used, which ensures that it cannot be recovered by a special PC. You can specify the block size and the number of passes. It is important to remember that standard deletion often erases only service pointers, which can be used for data retrieval.
