Universal Extractor

Universal Extractor is a Windows application for unpacking compressed folders, libraries and executable files. The program uses a simple interface and does not load the system during operation. You can extract content from a variety of files including archives, system files, executable files, and MSI packages.

Purpose

The program differs in that it allows you to efficiently decompress files regardless of the compression method and extension. Many formats are correctly recognized, including EXE, ARC, ZIP and RAR. It should be taken into account that the function of creating a new archive is not provided, so the program cannot be positioned as a full-fledged replacement for classic archivers.

Unpacking

After the program is started, you should specify the path to the file whose contents you want to extract, and the destination directory for saving is also specified. A separate option allows you to activate automatic removal of duplicates and temporary files. It is possible to save the unpacking history for quick access in the future. The content is extracted to the specified location, a convenient directory structure is used. You can use search and sorting of files. The settings also provide an option to activate logging of all debugging information. This allows you to quickly find the source of the problem and get a full description. In many cases, the information provided is enough to solve the problem on your own. All available functions are listed in the help section.
