Descript

Descript is a Windows application that allows you to edit video using neural networks. There are tools for transcribing and generating meaningful dialogs. There is a function for removing artifacts and third-party noise. Only English language is supported.

Working with audio

To access the functionality, you need to log in with a Google account. The basic version provides three hours of transcribing, which is enough to evaluate the capabilities of the service. To remove the restriction, you need to go to the official website, choose a suitable tariff, pay for the license and activate the code in the application interface. The program allows you to edit the audio recording as a standard text. You can search for words to quickly navigate to the desired section. Then you can insert or modify the text. A sample-based speech synthesis mode is built in. For example, the program can analyze a speech and dub the specified text with a similar voice. You can use it to restore a lost fragment.

Video clips

The next module is for editing clips. You can add effects or sound tracks and customize them. The built-in algorithm is capable of automatically selecting noise and removing it from the original recording. This allows even users without experience to noticeably improve an unsuccessful video. There is no need to work with a large number of parameters, selecting the optimal set. Once the work is completed, you can export the result to another editor. At the same time, all the changes made earlier are preserved.
