WinBox is an official MikroTik application for easy installation, configuration and management of your Mikrotik router RouterOS  

Usage

Working in the WinBox program is aimed at managing and configuring your Mikrotik router. This specialized application allows you to make a precise configuration of the router and set the necessary security parameters in the system. Also the program successfully copes with emerging problems in the network and effectively eliminates them. WinBox utility thanks to the graphical interface (GUI), provides interactive communication between the router. To connect to the device you need to enter a login and password. After successful connection, access to the functionality of the router is opened. Among the main functions in the program you can distinguish: saving the current session ("save"), activation of the secure mode ("secure mode"), deleting necessary items from the list ("delete"), loading the previous session ("load previous session"), connecting to the desired router and start working ("connect"), saving the password ("keep password"), as well as clearing the cache, importing and exporting addresses. It should be noted that enabling the secure mode provides full confidentiality and data security between the application and the device being configured.

Interface

The user-friendly and easy-to-understand interface is based on the original Win32 interface. To navigate in the program, the user can use the navigation menu. The utility is made only in English localization and has no Russification. Nevertheless, the light and minimalistic interface will be understandable for every user. The application supports and works perfectly on all versions of Windows, as well as compatible with Linux and Mac OSx operating systems. To install the application, you need to download the downloader from the official website of the developers. There, the user can also purchase configuration files for his router.
