App Inventor

App Inventor is a visual development tool designed to create apps for the Android mobile system without the need for in-depth knowledge of any programming languages. This unique Windows utility functions as a visual development environment, allowing users to create apps for smartphones and tablets using intuitive flowcharts and step-by-step algorithms, even if they are not proficient in programming.

Development

The development process starts with specifying Google account details. Users get access to a graphical editor that allows them to create interfaces by dragging and dropping blocks onto the workspace. The visual mode gives an instant preview of the finished interface on the screen of a mobile device. Architecturally, the utility resembles the well-known Scratch utility, using the principle of block programming in the form of schemes and algorithms of actions. The built-in compiler converts the created block diagrams into executable code.

Constructor

In the designer presented on the left side of the window, users will find a variety of blocks, including input fields, buttons, toggles and other controls. In addition, they can embed music, images and videos. The utility also provides integration with sensors and transducers, allowing, for example, to set actions when the device's position changes.

Compilation

Once the development is complete, the project is saved as an APK file, and an option is provided for quick download and installation of the app by generating a unique QR code.
