Trojan Killer

Trojan Killer is an antivirus for Windows. It allows you to find and remove various types of modern threats, including adware. During the scanning process, all available local and external disks, active processes and the registry are checked. It is possible to manually specify the scan area.

Scanning

Two modes of operation are supported - quick and full system scan. At any time you can initiate a manual scan of a specific directory, file or connected drive. During the scanning process, basic statistics are displayed on the screen, including the current number of scanned objects and the number of detected threats. You can pause the process and resume scanning at a convenient time.

Removal

After scanning, a list of all detected threats is displayed. It is possible to choose between removal and cure. A distinctive feature of the software is the ability to fully check all destructive actions of the virus and return parameters and files to their original state. This is important because many malicious programs leave seemingly harmless changes that can restore the basic modules of the virus after removal. It is worth bearing in mind that the utility is not designed to run in the background. Only manual launching for scanning with the required parameters is implied.

Settings

In the settings, you can enable heuristic analysis, which allows you to detect threats that are not yet in the antivirus databases. In this case, additional signs are searched for - strange activity, requests to external servers, an attempt to modify important files, and so on. A separate module is designed to work with browsers. You can initiate a reset and remove dangerous plug-ins.
