D Link Assistant is an Android application designed to configure routers. The utility is an official client and is supported by D-Link specialists.

Compatibility

At the time of publication, the program can be used to work with many models, including DWR-921, DSL-224, DIR-615S and DIR-300S. The list of available devices is constantly expanding.

Features

The main purpose of the program is to connect new devices to the network, provide access to the Internet, as well as configure the Wi-Fi network. To access the settings, you need a prior connection to the local network. Connection via Wi-Fi or IP address is supported. If the connection is active, the utility automatically scans the network infrastructure to find supported devices. The result is displayed as a list. You can work in two modes - access to basic and advanced settings. It is also possible to view a list of all active devices connected to this router. Advanced settings provide the following tools:

• DLNA server setup;
• organizing a print server;
• connecting and configuring multimedia devices;
• setting up a torrent client and other functions.

When a firmware update is released, the utility also records this event and displays a corresponding notification. The available methods of updating the software part of the network device are displayed below.
